Welcome to CBT

In our lives “We are all in a state of motion and change”

(American psychologist George Alexander Kelly)

There are times in our lives when we may feel “stuck” or trapped. We may feel we are at a crossroads and not sure how we got here in the first place or where to go next.

This situation can lead to negative thoughts and feelings about ourselves and others. Resulting in anxiety, depression, low mood, panic attacks, anger and feelings of helplessness, and consequent self-defeating behaviours.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help at these times by enabling you the opportunity to reconstruct your life in a safe environment and where necessary start to think, feel and behave differently.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help you start to take control and become the architect of your life. By working together we will explore how our current negative beliefs of ourselves, others, the world, impacts on our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. We will explore where our current beliefs came from, what evidence supports these beliefs and how helpful are they to us in the here and now.

My aim as a therapist is to empower you to help yourself, to develop the insight and skills to enable you to become your own therapist.
